I have over 7 years of experience building digital products, identities, and websites with Fortune 500 companies, agencies, and first time entrepreneurs.
I’m looking for my next opportunity where I can leverage my collaboration, facilitation, and strategy skills with my digital product design craft to make a positive impact on user experience and business outcomes. Say hello at bethanyfaulkner27@gmail.com.
I love teaching, writing, and people as much as design. I'm always looking for better ways to merge my skills and interests to solve big picture problems. I dabble in a breadth of side quests to stay sharp and curious.

Over 7 years of experience building and launching user-centered products with system and business in mind.
Like most senior product designers, I have experience delivering digital products and features in collaboration with a range of teams, skillsets, and personalities. I'm confident wireframing, pixel pushing and systems-thinking in Figma, presenting to stakeholders, and strategically balancing design, business, and user considerations.
I also love side quests. At Pocket Prep, I initiated the push for WCAG Accessibility and led the team to delivery of Accessibility Statements across our products. I also initiated a volunteer partnership between Pocket Prep and Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association, where we did quarterly volunteer days to protect our green spaces in Durham. At Valassis, I independently created a "Cheat Sheet" of terms and processes for the product and engineering teams that people still reference (and email me about) today. No one asked me to start these initiatives - I saw the opportunity, got buy-in, and took it.
I'm one to see opportunities to improvement, volunteer to make it happen, and gather a community to see it through. This isn't the type of thing employers explicitly look for when hiring, but it's a quality all of my coworkers have greatly appreciated and valued me for.
I'm looking for a new job after I graduate from my MA December 2024. I'd love to bring my design (and side-questing) skills to a values-driven company in 2025.
